    Very crude but first attempt.
Havent used the panarama yet as i usually use my proper camera for these kind of photos, but it could be useful to have this option.

Well, do you want to credit him instead of just blatantly using his image?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,309 ✭✭✭RVN10

why does it make a difference? I didn't take credit for it ?

its effectively Copyright breech and some problems may arise for boards.ie if the original owner sees it and takes offence IIRC.
Maybe post the link where you got it from.

Because you're using it without the persons permission, and I like the photo, and wanted to know who took it

Does any of that matter, ive also outlined why it could be a problem, so the easy thing to do is credit who took it.

I agree. But in all fairness to be walking around wondering who took a photo. It's a bit much.

Interesting thread. Here's a few from my Galaxy S3 if anyone's interested for comparison.

Cheers, here's a few more from the original Galaxy S. One of them is an "Action Shot" where it tracks a subject and takes a panorama photo at the same time, think they took it out of the GS3 for some reason. Downloaded from fb so quality seems to have suffered a bit.

Android really does fall down compared with iOS in terms of perspective distortion and colour range. The S3 is good but not as good as the iPhone 4 in that department.

Not being a photographer, I'm not entirely sure what you mean, can you elaborate?

I downloaded this app to help with Panarama pics... and find it excellent

Photosynth is a brilliant app for panorama shots, its on itunes and its free, you can do full range of movement too not just left to right, it looks like what streetview looks like, very handy.

I was using that on my IP4. But the 5 and the 4S have panarama built in now.

Taken with DMD on my old IP4 in Poznan.

I still find this to be an excellent app, You can do the full 360 in it compared to the panoramic pictures.
