Expenses - VAT or Not??

Hi Folks, Sorry if this is a really obvious question, but I am not 100% sure and wonder if someone could help:)? I am doing my tax return at the moment and am calculating my expenses, diesel, telephone bills, etc. I am not VAT registered. Do I claim the expense amount including VAT or excluding VAT. Thanks in advance:)…

Hi Folks,

Sorry if this is a really obvious question, but I am not 100% sure and wonder if someone could help:)?

I am not VAT registered. Do I claim the expense amount including VAT or excluding VAT.
