replacement sky+hd box - no listings / cannot record

    I got a replacement sky+hd box today (re-furbished amstrad). After setting it up and doing a software update, the information panel only shows now and next programs, with a "further schedule information not available message" for the following programme. The TV guide only shows now and next on some channels with a "..no listings available" message for everything else. When I tried to record, I got a message that said "this programme cannot be inserted into the planner" message.

    I've power cycled it a couple of times, re-booted and done the software update again.

    Does it need to be left on for a while to sort itself out or is there something else i need to do?

    Hi, have you rang sky and paired the "new" box to your card ?

    live pause doesn't work either

    sky installer rang to pair box and card - said it was. but also said that they were a useless shower....so i s'pose i'll call them again. I actually got a text from them this morning -

    he was right. they are a useless shower. called the dublin number, they hadn't paired the box correctly so they said it'd be done again and working within a few hours. 6 hours later, still not working properly...
