Mechanic is quoting me 320e to change rear brake discs and pads and a service for a Ford Focus Estate 1.6 diesel. Strikes me as a little high?

Rear pads and disks should come in at about €180. Its impossible to comment on the service price unless we know what type of service he's quoting for.

If its a full engine service(oil of correct grade, filter, air filter and fuel filter) then its not expensive at all.

If this is the case though I'd make very sure you are getting the correct oil type and I'd be checking about other scedualed service items like pollen filter and brake fluid.
