I moved home and left my skybox. i had planned on using the transfer which im told is free first time.

does this mean i have to pay for a installation? maybe if i tell em im cancelling if they dont do it free. they may see that as a customer for 3 years they will get there money back.

sky box is a 5 hour drive to pick up so petrol and time its not worth going back for imo.

    thoughts on options?

Ring Sky,tell 'em to cancel the old account.Set up a new one at your present address. They might even feel sorry for you & do a new install.Had a similar thing when a lady left her skybox behind & when she went to get it a few days later there were new tenants who told her to fcuk off & kept the box,she contacted Sky & they sorted her out.

At the very least get the old card disabled otherwise you'll be paying for someone elses Sky.

do you not have to have a different bank account to be treated as a new customer?

I have had a couple of different accounts with same bank account details. I usually initially register and pay first couple of months on credit card and then change to bank account, saying that, I doubt its even necessary.

Used to deal with a customer who had about 20 sky accounts for various addresses, all from the one bank account. (relocation / letting agent)
    Never had a problem. AFAIK.
