The wife has two pairs and finds them good. One good thing about them is that is they ever tare you can patch them up with wetsuit repair glue

I've a good story about this... Lad I fish and shoot with is on his second pair, he buys them at game fairs. His ones have the snow boot type sole and the neoprene at the side,I think they're the business and he swears by them. So I bought a pair for herself this year for wearing to Lecky Picnic, she liked them so much she stuck them on Ebay and bought herself a pink pair of Hunter with the sale proceeds. NEVER buy clothes or shoes for women.

Bought a pair if these in February , never again.
The soles wore away to nothing, and before that the 'grips' on them were there in name only.
Hardly give a grip on concrete let alone any sort of muck.

I have a pair of the Tay - best boot I've had. They will wear quick if on hard a lot as they designed for field (soft supple)use but couldn't give a damm as they are so comfortable for all day that trumps wear. Most guys that spend the amount of time we do need to be comfortable so that is the justification. BTW I gave €120 for mine. Do yourself a favor

I've a pair of these. Now while they're the best boot I've had, there's room for improvement.;)

One complaint. At the back of the boot, where the material meets the rubber there is a strip of rubber that goes up the back of the calf. With a lot of walking the rubber strip warps inwards and rubs badly off the back of the heel tendon and lower calf. It's quite sore if your wearing them all day long. I've put padding at the back for some support, but it's not comfortable and can upset a nice day out!

Other than that - a good boot. Maybe I just got a faulty one! :o

Why not just invest in real boots? something Gore-tex for example

I have a pair of tay. Bought at midland gamefair for 60pound. Lovly booth great fit. Well worth it, i had 130euro to spend and i passed off agile and hunter as these were way better fit and softer feel. Worth buying

That's the exact problems I've had with mine, I've had two pairs and they've both been the same there a great boot keep you warm but the after a while the material wears away and you're heel is and they become very uncomfortable to wear.

Well that answers that then, not just a one off faulty pair. Will wear these into the ground and get something else next time, too expensive for that kind of fault. Maybe an email to the manufacturers is in the offing! :D

Got them at the Game Fair. Just can't remember what the name of the stand was. There were two together. Question is, do I go back to them, or directly back to MuckBoot Co?

ive a pair of muckboots and if ive to walk any distance i get blisters , i also have a pair of aigel wellies and when roughshooting ive left those muck boots behind me in boggy ground because of the neoprene lining trust me the aigel boots are the job if you are shooting on boggy ground as anyone who has ever gotten a wet foot will testify

I got a serious pair of full water proof ex army German parashoot boots that will save your heel from impact up to 30mph so you won't sprain your ankel or hurt your heel jumping from a height in them. The comfort is the last word, never have cold feet, they are good and high up my leg and the traction I get with them on ice even is brilliant. Cost me 100euro for a second hand pair. New at 200euro. Got them in army surplus shop in Ballyconnel. Mind my spelling but anyways great boots. He will guarntee they wont rip or leak and will offer a replacement if they do
