    Hi,

I am looking for some advice, I started college back in september which is a full time fetac level 5 course in computer programming. I applied for the Back to Education allowance but was refused on the grounds that I completed another fetac level 5 course.

I did complete a fas course in office skills roughly about 7 years ago. Which contained 6 modules at fetac level 5 which wasn't a full fetac level 5 major award. The programming course I am studying at the moment is the full fetac level 5 major award which contains 8 subjects that I need to enter third level next year.

Would I have grounds to appeal? as without the BTEA allowance I will have to drop out and re sign as I couldn't afford to complete the course.
