MMA / Muay Thai / Krav Maga on Luas Green Line

    Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone could recommend anywhere roughly along the green line (at least as far as Leopardstown) where I can train MMA / Muay Thai or Krav Maga?

I haven't decided what to do next (just under 2 years of KM at the moment) but want to keep up the training at least once a week if I can find the time.

Being on the commute home would help!

    Very much appreciate any suggestions.

    Best regards,

    SBG in City Centre perhaps

The Exchequer Street is very close to St. Stephen's Green Luas station.

Have you been before - if so would you recommend?

The instruction is pretty good, the people are friendly, and it's got crazy stained glass windows. You should check it out.

That kind of undersells the level of coaching available :)

Haha talk about 'spot the odd one out' for that list. Anyway...

Heard very good things about SBG. There is also Fianna MMA just beside the Kilmacud stop

Thanks for that - that gym is very close to home.

Going to head into SBG this week, get the ball rolling. Kilmacud could be ideal for weekend training.

After reading some other threads in this forum I presume you mention Krav Maga as the odd one out. I personally found it good, didn't over promise and was practical. I got extra advice from the instructors on additional training which I could do in my own time to improve overall strength and conditioning.

Maybe I was lucky with the gym I trained in, but I think I got a lot of benefit from it and it has helped me avoid / deal with trouble on two occasions.

Ah I just meant two unarmed styles and then a 'guns and knives and whatever' style.

Best of luck with your training!
