Saorview box that can see other stations?

    Hey all,

Got a Technika T8030 in Tescos, but it doesn't see other signals. Currently the way the house is wired is that aerial and sat dish are fed into the Sky box, and then from the Sky box to the rest of the house.

Currently the feed is coaxial cable, magic eye (for changing the Sky station), splitter, and either into the TV via coaxial cable, or via the Saorview box and then into the TV with an HDMI cable.

So I'm wondering will any Saorview boxes pick up the Sky feed as a separate station? At the moment I have to switch between the aerial input (Sky) and the HDMI input (Saorview).

No. The Sky modulator is Analogue (Also folks it can "jam" the Saorview as it takes up at least 2 channels, the channel below the selected Sky out is "jammed".)

The Saorview or any other DTT setbox only tunes DVB-T type Digital channels.
