Ah good olde Eirgi, when Dublin "bar-stool republicans" believe that socialisim will change all of Irelands problems even in a democratic world.
That T.D still recevied his days pay with or without that protest and whatever new budget-cut was decided HAS been decided. The country is fooked, its out of the peoples hands, we sold whatever power we had to Europe years ago....

What I couldn't figure out about this protest was- where did Eirgi think 2 ministers, a driver and a car should go if not to the meeting intended?

That is a total waste of time and money of our elected politicians, staff and car.
