I had a dream where I was in a room with about a dozen people and we sat talking at a table..There was a glass panel with an old man on the other side..A week later I got called for jury service and I was certain that I recognised Ger and Elaine two other members of the jury..And the guy in the dock was 62..Weird..And why out of the blue did I start lucid dreaming which I had never done before in my life..

Yeah its mad..I knew Ger and Elaine from somewhere..They were so familiar to me..Also in the late 90s I started to get these really weird recurring greams and all that was in them was one little red fox pottering about..I found out during a series on dreams that I did for near fm whom I work for that it was a sign that somebody close to me would betray me and he did. If people can google quantum consciousness dreams that you will find out why..

Once i had a premonition dream.

I was 17 at the time, and without going into specifics about it and who and where... I seen myself from above and behind, floating about a foot from the top of my head. The dream itself was very unsettling as i knew it was a dream and couldn't stop anything from happening or change what i knew would happen. Anyway, there were two people i knew in the dream on a familiar road, the specifics happened and as they did, i drifted further away from where i was floating until i woke up.
About a month later the exact thing i had dreamed happened. I know i have been fairly vague about the experience, but it was more helpful after the physical thing had happened than it was the night i dreamt it.

I cant explain why the dream happened before the event, but it did. Feel free to pick it apart as i'm sure there's a rational explanation to it.

Have never had any other dreams like it since.

I've had it happen to me a few times. It seems to be as soon as something happens that I think 'I dreamed this', rather than me actually remembering a dream for a few days/weeks and then it happening.

This makes me think that it's probably deja vu - the brain accidentally filing something under 'happened before' instead of 'just happened'.

That probably is deja vu,wrong file in wrong folder but in premonition dreams you vividly remember the dream, think about it for a few days/weeks and then it comes true

Have a look here, it wont give you 100% answers but might point you in the right direction.

years ago when I lived in London, I hadnt been home in years - in fact I hadnt even been in communication with my parents. I dreamt one night that I was standing outside my parents house, looking down the road at a new housing estate, with a play park for kids at the front of it. Three years later I was home on a visit and there was a new housing estate (build after my dream mind you), with the same layout and playpark at the front of it within view from the front of the house. It look just like what I'd dreamed about.

Cheers Ziycon I found that site fascinating. Thank you and I think it will become a good point of reference..As I mentioned earlier I lucid Dream occasionally so does one of my best friends Nicola..This might sound odd but she is perfectly sane trust me she has a best friend called Tara and for people who have never experienced one it's as real as real life. They have Coffee together, shop together and socialise together..Tara is as real to Nicola as I am..Lets not forget the Gouryella state of the Aboriginal people in which their dream state is their reality..People have written classic songs in their sleep..I do'nt believe that Dreams are just a bunch of neurons firing images..Then dreams would have no story whatsoever..If that was true one minute you would be walking through a park next riding a horse..Does'nt happen..Does it..

The first premonition dream i had was a strange experience and i did help the end of dream to come true.
I had a very vivid dream that i walked up to a small tree and a large branch was rotting,I pushed the rotten branch and it collapsed into bits on the ground.
Two weeks later i felt a strong desire to go to a large Fairy fort. When i got there i walked straight to a small tree and it was the same tree in the dream with the rotting branch.I remembered the dream but i was apprehensive about pushing the branch because you hear stories about people damaging fairy forts. After some thought i decided that the tree would be better off without the rot so i pushed the branch and it collapsed into bits like in the dream....I then spent 20 minutes cleaning the tree of all rot just in case the"wee folk" were watching.:D
