I need to extend the cable in the ceiling rose. can i use a standard electrical connector block. the type sold in strips and screw terminal

why not just replace the cable if this is the type of fitting

The main cable to meet the rose is too short so i need to make it longer

best to use a 5 amp junction box and join 1.5 twin and earth cable to extend to ceiling rose
