Wireless Keyboard & Mouse problems.

    I have a weird problem with my computer. I have bought two Wireless Keyboard and Mouse sets, and neither set will work properly with my HTPC. I am only using them about 2 metres away from the USB receiver and yet the mouse is very jittery and reminds me off the old ball mice when they would get stuffed up with lint, fluff and dust etc.

    In the same room I have my main PC which is also on a Logitech Wireless Mouse and Keyboard. I am using a Microsoft Mouse on the HTPC and I was using a LIDL silvercrest mouse first and I just thought that was a pice of junk but now the Microsoft one I am using has the exact same problem. I got it in Argos today for €24.99.

    I also have two wireless routers and a DECT Cordless phone, I am not sure what the problem, the Logitech mouse and Keyboard will work about 8 to 10 metres away from my main pc but both the LIDL and Microsoft wireless sets struggle to function only 2 to 3metres away.

    I am wondering is this some type of interference from all the gear within close proximity?

    Quite possible. Remove the other wireless devices from the room (don't forget the counterparts), one at a time, maybe you can pin down the culprit.
