    Folks how much should I be paying for a starter for a mf 168?

    if you have the old one, €120 should get it totally rebuilt, if not, go online and get one from the UK, simple enough starter anyway so can't be that much..

    Cheers. Don't have the old one. We are converting a tractor with a 135/148 engine to the 168 engine. The starters are on opposites sides so need a new one. Got quoted 90 plus vat for one....

    Sounds cheap, good stuff. what hp is the 168 engine? Will the 135 gearbox take the power?

    168 is about 70 HP. Its not going into a 135 but a landini 5830 4wd which has a 3 cylinder engine the same as a 148
