What is defined as a "Restricted" or "Non Restricted" firearm? Which one is a .22Lr classed as? Is a gun cabinet required for one .22 rifle on its own?

Read the restricted SI...click on the red link at the top of the main forum page.

.22lr is unrestricted as a calibre but the gun its fired from can still be restricted. A .22lr rifle has to have a mag capacity of 10 rounds or less and 5 shots or less for a .22 pistol.

Yeah you need a safe for any rifle.
