I bought a bus ticket for bus Eireann to go home today with todays date on it, now my circumstances changed and I'll be going home tomorrow instead, will I need to buy another ticket tomorrow?

Yes, return tickets are only valid for the outward journey on the day of purchase. If it was an online ticket you could try to change it or get a refund and buy a new ticket for tomorrow but the refund if allowed might take some time.
