I dunno if this is the right place but a friend of mine is looking to get their pet neutered and was told people in reciept of SW get a percentage off the cost. Is this true?

I think there are a few vets offer a discount to SW recipients. It's worth phoning around. Perhaps ring your local rescue centre, they should know which vets offer it.

If pet is a dog, and the owner is claiming a Means Tested payment, Dogs Trust offer a subsidised neutering scheme.... The fee is a very modest €20...

Give them a call at 1890946336... They'll register the pooch, and refer to a local vet who's taking part in the scheme... Just call the vet, make an appointment, and bring along proof of SW payment (Post Office Reciept, or Bank Statement showing SW lodged), €20, and the afore mentioned pooch... Few hours later, collect pooch... Job done...

Dogs Trust distribute vouchers to certain vets for neutering. There's only a certain amount, to certain vets and they're done yearly.

You have to prove you're on SW, then the vet issues the voucher OB Dogs Trust.

Blue Cross also offers neutering for a donation AFAIK.
