My Version (NI) of the IFJ on page 41 has the Farm Buildings section. Talking about stuff from ploughing.

Carlow Precast, Picture 4 have slatted tank. Is this for underground, just like shuttered tank or what?

Price = 5750 + VAT euro for 9 ft x 20 ft 8 ft deep. How does this roughly compare with shuttered tank?

    Thanks
    K

I've just done a 72' x 14'6 x 8' tank for €16,500+vat, including tractor slats and building up one half of the tank by an extra 10-12 inches to allow for higher ground level at that side

The bigger the slatted tank the less it costs. Is there slats included with the carlow tank and delivery and fitting if so it is fairly compeditive. However it is only a single bay tank. A two bay tank would be about 35' inside.

Rule of tumb a 3bay is about 25-30% more expensive than a 2 bay. A 4 bay is about 15-20% more expensive than a 3 bay. A 6 bay is about 25-30% more expensive than a4 bay. The only cost associate with a tank that is nearly static compare to size is the slats. With everything you get economies of scale
