    Having the exact same problem with one of my velux. I sanded them down this summer and varnished them. Hoping it will resolve the problem.

    You might have a leak which is causing the discolouration....have the flashings & seals checked, they are usually the cause.

    Phone velux and they said the exact same thing.

    Sand and varnish. Seals are fine.

    mine was 2007.
