    Hi guys,

    I have a 2008 Mazda 6, new gen model.

I only got one key with the car unfortunately.

Its been working grand until last week when it starting acting up.

It works sometimes. Other times I could be standing for 20/30 seconds bashing the button hoping it'll either unlock or lock.

The other day the alarm went off randomly. Nobody near the car. It was parked outside my house.

So I reckon maybe the battery is on the way out??

If it is that whats the cheapest place to get it fixed?

Or could it be something else?

    Cheers,
    Eoin

The cheapest and easiest option to do first is replace the battery in the fob. Just remember when replacing the battery that you may need to be near the car when doing so or the fob may need to be reprogramed again.
After that it could be the fob itself, check the housing for signs of damage.
