    hi,

i have a netbook which keeps dropping off the network. no other devices iphones etc. drop their connections. i have a upc cisco epc3925 router. when i contacted them they suggested changing the broadcast channel. this had varying success. in order to eliminate the hardware, wireless network card i connected to another connection via. another router (on eircom network) and this appears to be ok. i need to reconnect to the upc broadband but am pi**ed off with it dropping the connection with the netbook. anyone any ideas. i have just restored the netbook to factory state in desperation. it still was the same. i have again switched the channel on the router and for now it appears ok but i'm convinced it will drop off it soon. am i missing something with the sey-up of the router? anyone experience similar problems with upc/cisco?

ok it dropped off the internet as expected but the network connection says it still connected to the router. browser reported a dns error.....

As no other device has an issue with the wireless connection, perhaps netbook may be at fault.. try a USB wireless card to see if it has the same problem?

    No bother
Yes I've tried that. I'm sure I've gone through all the channels also by now. Any idea if the router can log the issue?

    Ta.
