Taxi- Rental

    Hi all,

    I was thinking of looking into buying another car to rent out as a taxi. As I have little to no knowledge of doing this would anybody on here be able to provide me with some information.

    I am looking to know whats involved in the process, for example; do you rent the car or the car and plate, and what are the insurance options available?

    You could google "Taxi Regulator".........and immediately forget about the whole idea.
    Why not just buy a mini-digger, a car transporter, a bouncy castle, or even a carpet cleaner, and rent it out. Seriously, anything but a Taxi.

    Changes
    As part of the changes, a new online system will be introduced that will link the driver with the vehicle they are using, allowing passengers to check the appropriate driver is in the vehicle.
    There will be new age limits for vehicles introduced, and ‘Taxi Plate Only’ rental will be prohibited. Under the changes, the SPSV vehicle licence will be linked with the vehicle owner.
