    Hi Folks,

I'm looking into get a tattoo (it will be my first one) with the following phrase: "My children are my world", but in Irish.

How would that be translated into Irish?

Just so, you know, the tattoo will be on my upper back and will be written using a Celtic Font.

The dimensions will be probably like this guy's design (sic), but without the cross and a single line:

Correct. To make it a bit more natural/shorter/more flowing, I would replace "is iad" with 'siad and "agus" with is. This makes it shorter, the rest is opinion based. It does not change the meaning at all.

Certainly in speech I too would have the 'siad and is but in writing...

    Hi everyone,

    Thanks a lot for it.

So the correct writting spelling for it would be:

"Is iad mo pháistí bun agus barr mo shaoil"

    Right?

I'm so excited to have this, as soon as I have done I will post the pic here.

    Cheers!!

I've put this on the Google Translate and it came up as:

"My children are the essence of my life"

Is the Google Translate Yolk correct?

Google Translate is a disaster. Never rely on it for anything!
