    Hi all,

In addition to looking at various 04 / 05 BMW 3 Series models, I've been looking at a few 1 Series as I quite like the shorter length.

Any thoughts on the 2.0L petrol E87 hatchback model? I saw one that is an SE model, which seemed pretty nice, just checking on Cartell I see it also is listed as 'ZV16' - any idea what that means?

    Thanks :)

AFAIK that 2.0 petrol isn't the most reliable. There was a cheapish (and well-specified) Irish 130i floating around Pistonheads.co.uk a few months back, but I can't see it now.

ZV16 probably refers to an BMW engine code or something. Personally, I would not bother with the e87, rear legroom and boot space is very restrictive in them due to the rwd and the quality of materials used in the cabin is questionable. Most Irish ones are sparcely equipped too. You would probably pick up an early MkII Octavia petrol vRS for not much more money.
