    Hi all,

Looking to purchase a black pair of flat, knee high, equestrian style boots. The ones I've seen thus far have looked cheap or had a hideous big elastic panel right down the back. Does anyone know where I can buy a pair to fit a wide calf that are good quality and look it? Obviously the cheaper the better.

    Thanks!

Duo Boots are great for wide-calf fittings. Not cheap mind, but the quality is excellent.

Have you tried an equestrian shop? Is it actually for riding/hacking? I just have the normal ones but in my local equestrian shop they have some gorgeous leather boots and chaps.

+1. I went to their store in Covent Gdn and within two days my order was delivered.

I have 3 pairs of their boots, in different colours and heights. Before I found Duo, I had never been able to buy a tall boot.

Wow Duoboots looks gorgeous! Particularly the Gabrielle. Are they comfortable? I'd be worried to fork out so much for them without them being wearable all day!

Quite comfortable - but like all shoes, it will depend on the style that you buy.

One other place to try, m&s, great range of boots at the mo and I always find sizes wide, great value too

I got my first pair last year and like you I've never been able to find a pair of tall knee highs - and I couldn't fault them. I am looking to treat myself to the Marcelle boot this year - I only wish I could wear boots with heels :D!
