Ford paint code

So I'm trying to find the paint code for this Ford silver. It's not the standard plain silver silver. It's like a silver with a little grey in it. Kind of an icey silver really.

It's for a motorbike project but I've always fancied the colour...

Machine Silver is the colour you are after.

Ford paint codes are strange, the code on the B pillar can change from model to model and year to year even though the colour remains the same.

There could be 50 different shades of the same colour even though it would have the same name, hence the different codes.

It's the other way around with Ford, there are loads of different codes for the same colour!

there is nothing in my door jambs except a little paper sticker which is unreadable.

In my view this info will be on the Chassis Plate, but I don't know which code refer
s to the paint

if you are feeling brave the paint code is also on a sticker on the inside of the wing mirror cover, you will have to pop it off to see this, or sometimes they can be on the towing eye cover

failing that there is a metal plate on on the slam panel under the bonnet on it you will find a row of letters and numbers going down the left hand side its normally the 2nd last letter/number this will have to be brought to who ever is mixing the paint along with the model and year of the car this should get you the right code for the car

those letters in order down the plate are H SR S A1 08 7

so I guess it's 08...(could be o8 I guess...


my 99 reg fiesta has 6X in this position and my 2003 fiesta has G3. I guess it's the focus code you need though, it's an ST170 and has a really nice shade of silver , not at all like most standard cars.
