    For a week your only option are local B&Bs or hotels.
    The closest hotel is Clayton which is a bit pricey.

    Just to note - this forum doesn't allow accommodation adverts so we can't help with that.

    Depending on how cost-sensitive you are, you might try a hostel. See www.hostelworld.com for recommendations.

    I stayed in one for 3-4 weeks while working a few years ago: I would never have believed that it was possible, but found it wasn't so bad. If the staff know you are working, they try to put you in a room with other working people too.

    IMHO hostels have a massive advantage over BnB - you have access to a kitchen in the evening. Even if the room cost difference isn't much, the amount you can save on food is enormous.

    Good bus services to Parkmore - routes 409 or 403. The Parkmore neighbourhood map shows you where the various estates are, links to detailed layout maps for each one, and has some bus info.
