you wont get free parking near them spots unless you know someone that will let you have their parking place also its clampers heaven around them areas. :(

It's a high demand parking zone, not only is there no free parking, it's almost €3 an hour for onstreet parking and as the previous poster mentioned the clampers circle the area like vultures.

The area is very well served by public transport though, Pearse St Dart is less than 10 mins walk away and the 38s, 39s, 70, and 25s all stop in the area, with a whole load of other buses a short walk.

    Hi,

Would anyone know of free parking close to Dublin Castle on a Sunday? Or even a cheap enough carpark? All the rates seem to be over a tenner. It would be during the day.

How about the parking spaces on Castle Street; can't get much closer!

Thanks for that. Hopefully it wouldn't be too jammed on a Sunday.
    Cheers

All on-street parking is free on Sunday, except for an area around the St. Stephen's Green-Parnell Square axis where you have to pay from 1440-1800.
