    Hi everyone.

Last August I bought a Philips 32" TV with Soarview built into it (Product in question)

Everything has been working grand up to the re-scan on the 19th September.

Since the re-scan of the channels. I can't receive BBC1,2,3 or anything on that particular Mux.

Now, my parents have a TV with a Alba Soarview box that they got from Argos some time ago, and they can channels that I can't (Note, every TV in the house is connected to the 1 antenna) eg. Channel 4+1, UTV+1 etc. I can't receive these stations.

I used to have the number on the TV for it, but after the re-scan they are gone.

I would like to ask, how would I go about re-gaining these channels again.

Any help would be appreciated. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! Thank you all in advance :)

Did you actually rescan on the 19th? Have you rescanned since?

If it's a signal strength problem, it should be resolved with the switch to full power transmissions, starting with the BBC A mux. on the 10th of this month.

Yes and Yes, I re-scanned a few nights ago and then last night.

Hopefully that will sort it. I have been referring to this page for updates, though I am not completely literate on everything on that page.

    Thank you Peter :)

Can you check the strength/qualityat all?
Did you try a manual retune for the missing mux? if you know the channel number or if you know what transmitter you are receiving from.
As was said already you probably will be fine after the 24th Oct.
but if not you may need a booster? You seem to have a lot of tvs working off same aerial?

I re-installed all the channels today but I selected "Others" as the country. (Yes, I know I should be using "UK", but I am just experimenting).

Today I got "BBC ONE NI" and "BBC TWO NI" only because there is bad whether in Monaghan today :P -

I don't know how to manually tune in Freeview stations. :(

Signal Strength and Quality for BBC ONE NI is:
Signal Strength: Poor 8 - (Dunno what the 8 is about)
Signal Quality: 11 (BER:182 X 1E-6) - (Note the BER number goes up and down every second

I seem to be coming off the Divis Transmitter.

We have a booster on the aerial already. There is only 3 TV's in the house working off the one aerial.

If that BER figure is the 'post Viterbi' (after error correction) figure, then you're in failure territory with that signal.

If it was me, I'd just forget about it until next Wednesday, unless you happen to notice some obvious fault. I only mentioned rescans in my other post, on the off-chance that you might have been looking for channels during the recent (late night) high power testing at Divis, when service was interrupted.
