Drivers installed or not? CWM sees no device

I'm trying to install a custom ROM for an Acer Liquid mini, following a tutorial.

Whenever I install the drivers from SuperOneClick I first get a popup message telling me the drivers are installed successfully but as soon as I click it away I get a message telling me no drivers were found for the device. I've tried it six times with the same result.

I was, however, able to root it, so maybe the drivers are installed?

OTOH, running the CWM installer fails with no devices found (USB debugging is on). On the fastboot screen I get a message with MID, OS version, SKU_ID and undefined state (32) : image not found - partition table
    Download fail...

I have to pull the battery to be able to reboot.

    Any ideas what's going wrong?
