    Hey all

Looking to buy a stove / stoves/ range to suit a house that needs 18kws. The house has been renovated. Previously a Stanley Solid Fuel Range heated the house (single rad's and couldn't cope with the 8 of them)
I am taking out and replacing the Range as it is smokey and the smoke gets through into the Oven also. I would be burning mostly Turf, Coal and Wood.

I want to install a Stove with back boiler in the Sitting Room and either a Stove or Range with a back boiler to replace where the Old Range was in the kitchen. Both of these Rooms would need approx 4kw each. But as I would be burning Turf mostly, I would try and get a stove a little over the 4kw needed.

I would think that on any given day, that one of the two sources would be lit. I am installing 30 Joule Tubes, a Thermal Store Tank and a C25 Firebird Oil Boiler. The boiler I think will be used sparingly with the price of oil, possibly in the mornings and maybe a day people are away from the house and quick heat is needed.

I have looked at the following in Stoves with a back boiler

Stanley Ashling, This can be got with a Hotplate or without. It could possibly replace the Range, but the access into the ash tray is very poor I think.

Blacksmith Forge Looked at this a few times in different places and the stores seem to suggest it is a cheaper but more efficient version of the Stanley Ashling

Stratford Eco Boiler Looks more modern but no reviews only the recommendation from the store.

    Solid Fuel Ranges
    Stanley Donard Solid Fuel Range

    Rayburn Solid Fuel Range

So really, just looking for anyone who has experience of any of these, where they purchased, best price etc? Or any close comparisons to these.

one careful consideration is to remember that only 2/3 of the stove output will go to the wet side of the system and also to remember that the oiutputs shown are flawed and are reliant on fuel consumtion,

Hi yeah, am trying to buy something a little higher than I need theoritically, as I know the theory doesnt transfer to facts in the house. Plus using fuels like Turf is less effective than Wood for example.

Bit of a promotion at the moment by Stanley Just for one week but they usually extend it for a few days after if they get a good result from it

Any experience of the Stoves or Ranges listed above??
