Booted up Portal 2 again and playing through.
Forgot how funny it is, so much that at points I had to stop playing for laughing out loud.
Wheatley , voice by Stephen Merchant has to be up there with the best characters ever ...
And the scene with the defective turrets, their responses are brilliant :D

Anyone got any moments or games where they've laughed out loud...in relation to part of the writing or the script ;) - not like Battlefield 3 where you drove into a helicopter with C4 on your jeep kind :P, it doesn't happen much these days.

All of Portal 2. I love Stephen Merchant

Some of the chatter and conversations between the characters in Battlefield Bad Company 2 is brilliant. Saints Row 3 had me cracking up a good few times - the vocoder Pimp character was genius as was the Burt Reynolds cameo.

Borderlands 2. Visual gags, enemy taunts, claptrap, Tiny Tina... And that's only the first half of the game.

    What about Grim Fandango?

Monkey Island (1,2 and 3 - I'm ignoring #4 ever existed), Grim Fandango, and Day of the Tentacles all pretty hilarious moments throughout, especially the former. Borderlands 2 has some absolutely hilarious moments so far. The Dungeon Keeper series also had some pretty excellent times.

Adventure games in general tend to be funny.
    Monkey Island

    Insult:
You fight like a dairy farmer.
Comeback: How appropriate. You fight like a cow.

Barkeep: Guybrush? Is that a French name?
Guybrush: No, actually it’s a fictional name.
    Broken Sword 1 & 2

    Sgt Moué:
[Pulls a gun] Freeze! Hold it right there!
George: Whoa, don't shoot! I'm innocent! I'm an American!
Moué: Can't make up your mind, huh?

La Presidenta: His heart belongs to Tezcatlipoca.
George Stobbart: [Tied up, on a sacrificial altar] No it doesn't. We just had dinner that one time!

You mean the Monkey Island trilogy?

Yes, probably one of the greatest gaming trilogies ever made. If only they made a fourth *cough*

    Nerdfact -
When they were designing the character, they gave it the placeholder name of "Guy" and was automatically appended the filename of .brush. Guy.brush. Thus the name Guybrush was born.

I always loved this moment from the third game -

As much as duke nuken forever was **** I really had a good laugh at "power armour is for pussies" moment.

As already mentioned above saints row 3 had some freaking lololol moments too.

I really laughed at few jokes in uncharted game. Specially that note in drakes book: scary thing chart. One of the items in it was Sully's facial hair :D

As others have said portal 2, i was cracking up all the time, really wish I had never traded it in as I would love to run through it again.

Max Payne had me cracking up as well, his dead pan delivery is what makes it.

The original Dungeon Keeper was the last game Bullfrog made before Molyneux left and EA destroyed the company. I just don't like to be reminded.

Dungeon Keeper 2 was still a good game though - not a patch on the first, but not a bad game.

    Portal 2?

The intro to this game was absolutely hilarious and it marked a large part of my gaming life as it was the first time you ever heard Guybrush talk!

I think overall, I'd go with Portal 2. Just so many great moments. One of my particular favourites:

"Well, This is the part where he kills us."
"Hello. This is the part where I kill you."
CHAPTER 9: THE PART WHERE HE KILLS YOU
Achievement Unlocked: The part where he kills you

    In no particular order:

Portal 1 and (in particular) 2
    Borderlands 2
Any game that Tim Schafer has had a hand in.

tuxy, Grim Fandango has got the best sense of humour of any game I've played! :D Perhaps not that many laugh out loud moments, it's a more subtle kind of humour!
