WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Diva Kelly Kelly as of today, September 28, 2012. WWE wishes Kelly Kelly the best in all her future endeavors.

Well, RAW'll now have one less toilet-break.

I imagine it was mutual, considering Ms. Kelly has just returned from extended sabbatical, somewhat reluctantly. Reports indicate she'd spent Summer shopping around for better modelling and acting jobs, and only came back as a result of said pursuits falling through. I'd guess she's got plenty of fitness and leisure gigs in the cards, so she'll be well taken care of.

LOL at the title. I remember some wrestler depressingly stating that on some tours, SHE was the most senior wrestler there, having been on the books since 2006.

Can't say I'll miss Kelly much. I am surprised though. In all honesty she was the AJ of two years back. Vince seems to adore a diva one minute and then the next minute they're completely forgotten about.

Well AJ did make an effort to develop her skills in the indies and appears to be a big wrestling fan unlike a lot of the others. She's not great in the ring but not horrible either from what I can recall of her in ring efforts.

I'm a bit concerned that with A.J being out of the ring for so long she won't improve when she does go back, eventually. But yeah, she is someone who was a fan first and foremost.

Who else will follow. With Beth also rumoured to be finishing is this the start of the dismantlement of the Diva's division. Truth be told I wouldn't mind really, they've already destroyed any credibility women's wrestling had left in the past year.

Sarita is still there and apparently Velvet is too, she is off screen until her contract is sorted. Cant see WWE going for Love or Rosita and they had Winter before but did nothing with her.

WWE have even less interest in the girls than TNA do right now.

it's likely she asked for her release. they weren't using her and Layla fills her old role just fine. not the worst wrestler ever as some people seem to claim (Ashley Massaro anyone?)

I was never too well up on the programming when Ashley Marie was on the go, I drifted into what some people call the real world for a few years. Just checked her picture on Wikipedia there cuz I didn't recognise her surname. Bring her back as well sure!

I'd further my opinions on the divas division. Its dead recent signings are not, do you really think Sarah Del Rey will win back viewers. I'd be more in line with Hunters views, maybe get the girls out to dance now and then like on Nitro but forbide any ring activity. Wrestling is a mans game, nobody wants to see girls play fight.

Has she stated publicly why she left WWE? At the start of June this year she asked for time off due to burnout (having started with WWE in 2006) and only made a few appearances since then. She's been WWE's most prominent Diva over the last few years, so since she was released from her contract, it points to her *asking* to be let go.

Since June I reckon she's been shopping around other offers and avenues re: modelling, fitness etc and doesn't want to feel under pressure being tied to WWE. She's only 25, wants to live her life a bit (having been on the road since she was 19) and I'd guarantee she left on good terms & has a job waiting for her at WWE if she wants it.

Wage-wise there's likely an upper-cap for Divas so if she could make similar money elsewhere for a fraction of the sacrifice time/body-wise, and she's cool with not being a minor celebrity anymore, she'd be wise to take it.
