    Hi,
My memory card slot in my Pentax K-7 has been acting up recently.
It doesn't 'click' in' or pop out. (I remove it with tweezers)
When taking photos the very odd photo won't dispaly and lcd screen states 'image cannot be previewed.'.

When I view my photos on my laptop there's a folder for each date I've taken photos.
for most recent date there's a folder but it states it's empty and when I click on it
    ' E:\.... not accesible.
the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable'

However when I put the memory card into my camera I can view the images on my camera.
Any way to retreive the images?
    thanks,
    Pa.

i have massive trouble with SD cards myself. i have an internal slot in my mac and it intermittently reads SD cards. even if i try to use a card reader, it won't work; i get very similar error to yourself -- unreadable, blah blah, etc.
usually the only way i can retrieve images is via USB cable from the camera to the computer. always mounts without fail.
if you can retrieve the images that way, i'd probably stop using that card and try a new one?

    Cheers.
I tried the pop up 'repair....?' that came up when I put my card in.
It deleted all the photos from yesterday (Alabama 3 Arthurs Day gig in Galway.)
I'm going to send my camera off to hamster to hopefully get it fixed.
They sell it and upgrade form K-7 to K-5. (not selling cos of this issue).

sorry, i thought the issue was with the card, and not your camera!
