Advice on new TV purchase please

    Hi

    I am a complete novice when it comes to TV and the new technologies available now; the last TV purchase I made was a CRT, so please bear with me! I am about to upgrade to Saorview with a new free sat dish etc and I want to purchase a new TV for the sitting room. I am thinking about a 40" set, what should I be looking for, any models in particular you'd recommend. I don't want to spend any more than €600 if possible; is this a reasonable budget for a good set. Should I be looking at LCD, plasma or LED (I haven't a clue!). Any advice appreciated, thanks.
