Seemingly us Westerners have been going to the little boy/girls room wrong all our lives. The science seems simple.

    SQUATTING BENEFITS

    Avoid Constipation
    End Hemorrhoids
    Prevent Colon Disease
    Pelvic Floor Issues
    More Effective Elimination
    Economical & Durable

So what do you think, should we all be squatting?

I just tested this out for a laugh. I went to the toilet, got 4 books and put my feet up on the them. No discomfort, same bowl movement but it's a bit of a challenge to wipe if you keep your feet up on the little step:D

I've been trying it today, i've got a toboggan in the bathroom (don't ask):D

I've read somewhere it takes a week or so to really notice the difference, no idea where I read that.

I didn't check out the link but in all fairness if you evacuate your bowls when squatting your going to get kicked out of the gym, and your likely to drop the bar while trying to wipe.

Load of sh*t in my opinion.

I can see the merit in this. When I was working in Indonesia we had no Western toilet system, we had to use long drops for loos. The idea disgusted us at first and took some getting used to, but it's a surprisingly comfortable way to poo. If your bowel movements are regular and healthy it takes no time to get used to and feels very natural. The only downside is when you have constipation. I'll leave the rest to your imagination. Or not.

The seated toilet is one of the worst human inventions ever.
The sh1t we did in the name of being 'civilised'.
