    Hi,

Can anyone help with my problem - I want to convert Mac word documents to Microsoft Office Word documents using Microsoft Office Word?

Is this possible, or do I have to use the Mac itself to convert it to a .doc file, so that I can open it in Office Word?

    Cheers.

I have an iMac and a Windows laptop and have MS Office installed on both so may be able to help.

Do you have MS Office installed on the Mac? If not, what exactly do you mean when you refer to 'Mac word' documents i.e. what was used to create those files?

It will make things easier to follow if you only use the word 'Word' (with the capital 'W') when referring to the word processing component of MS Office.

I'm slightly confused. If you are creating documents on your mac in word they are saving as a .doc file?

Do you mean a pages document, if so in pages there's an option to export as a word document, File > Export > Word Document. If your trying to export for something like a CV and want to keep the formatting the same your best off export as a PDF that way it will be the same on every computer.

If your using word on the mac word on windows should be able to open it with no bother.
