Getting caught speeding...

I think I was slightly over the speed limit going round a bend last week. The speed van was on ground slightly higher than me and slightly out of sight. At the time I might have been over speed limit the van would not have had sight of my number plate. By the time I was fully in view I was deffo under speed limit so the question is does the van just need to see the car to process you as bent over speed limit or does it need sight of the registration plate and/or road as well?

    Thanks.

    You're correct in your assumption.

Thanks for your response mate... but I don't really know what your response means.

    Hopefully you'll clarify.

    Thanks.

The camera and radar beam see you at the same time.

The photo and speed reading are taken when you are about 20 to 40 metres away from the back of the van.

    I'd say you are safe
