Shearing Sheep

    Is it too cold at the moment to shear sheep. They are lambs I bought recently an weigh about 30kg. They are in very good aftergrass and have lots of shelter in the ditches. Trouble is they are getting tangled in the ditch too often!

    tis too wet anyway, i presume you arent going to house them? personally i wiouldnt be shearing them after early september to allow them to get some resemblance of cover on before the winter

    It would do them no harm.We clip young lambs every year around this time.It will leave them handier sheared next year.
