This is weird, I tried going to vodafone.ie just now and it changed to vodafone.de, and it's the same for full url.

It had been happening for maps.google.ie too but I thought that was a Google Profile settings thing, wth?

Latest Firefox on Linux Mint 13.

Oop found it, I had an addon called URL Fixer, lol it doesn't like some Irish domains for some reason...

Mods can delete or lock this if ya like.

I'd say its something to do with that ISP you're on, maybe you have a denmark ip address?

Have you checked your external IP address and where it is registered. Google and Vodophone probably redirect based on the geographic location of the IP address.

If your using a VPN or any of those anonymous browsing programs they will cause the sites to geolocate based on your ip (which is abroad!)
