what to wear to an informal interview?

    Anyone any ideas what I (a female) can wear to an "informal interview" tomorrow..
    Im not looking for fashion advice, just genuinely dunno if this means dont wear trousers, blazer etc. Cheers, x Em

    What's the industry? What's the level yoi are applying for?

    And who is it with - boss, hr, tecruitment co etc?

    Smart tailored trousers (NOT Dunnes/Penneys preferably black), white shirt, nice cardigan, polished shoes.

    It's a teaching job, but only in a Montessori, not real high level. :)

    I think i'll wear smart trousers, and a blouse, would rather be too smart than too casual. Thanks guys xx

    Sorry I may be too late (& if so I hope you got it) :).

    Speaking as a Recruiter for 5 years I would say there is no such thing as a casual interview outfit and you can never be too smart.

    Even if I was going for an interview and knew the hiring manager would be in a tracksuit, I would still wear at least trousers and a shirt, don't forget first impressions count for everything.

    It's easy to be too smart and then dress down if needs be, but turn up in jeans and t-shirt and the hiring manager might think you don't own a suit.

    Anyway good luck if you didn't nail it already.
