Looking for OOP Wallpaper

Really really long shot here. My nephew took to my parents' sitting room wallpaper with a black pen, and we couldn't remove it. The room was wallpapered in 2006, and we only have a length that is about half the height of the wall.

After some detective work, we found out that the wallpaper was called Zoffany Pavilion (code 7708004). It looks like that paper went out of production in 2010.

We contacted some Zoffany vendors in Ireland (and one of them even contacted Zoffany directly), but no luck.

I found one site on the internet that sells it, but the site is in Russian. I have send them an enquiry, but I'm not holding my breath.

So apart from papering the whole room again, what are my options? Is there a wallpaper resource to help source paper that is out of production?

Is it possible to patch the wallpaper with the strip we have, or will it just look awful?

Open to suggestions, thanks in advance.... :o

Is the entire room damaged or just one wall.
It is quite common for decorators to preform surgery on small areas if the paper is damaged.
Zoffany do nice papers and good luck with the russians.

Thanks cardwizzard.... it's not even a full wall.... maybe about 6 inches square. It's down low (under the light switch beside the door) so it's noticeable.

Can it be patched in a way that it blends with the existing wallpaper? How hard is it to do? The existing wallpaper has been up for 5-6 years now, so there will be natural fading. What would a decorator do to compensate for that?

Really depends on the pattern, and the repeat.
We usually snake a cut across the drop of paper and try and match the cut with the new. It is never perfect of course, but the results can be very very good. Better than pen marks.:)
As for the fade, it's hard to tell without seeing it. However after a few months I'd say it would be hard to tell the difference.
    Those pesky kids!!!
