    Hello

I recently discovered yellowy-brown water coming out of my pipes. The landlord is telling me there is nothing he can do about it and thats a Council problem? Can anyone advise if the landlord can really wipe his hands of this? And if so who you would suggest i go to?

    Thanks

It could be rust in the water. Either caused by the heating system leaking into the plumbing or a steel fitting used where it shouldn't. Is the over flow from the attic dripping?

If its your mains water you can request the water is tested by the council, they'll send out an EHO

Thanks - i found out today that they have done this. They are blaming the management company while the mgt company is blaming the council. Meanwhile Im very smelly!

No there is no overflow dripping thankfully. The Council inform me that the tests show no bacteria but they cannot locate the source of the problem!
