Does anyone have any anecdotal stories that it works!? I was given a roll of it over the weekend to try out for myself, needless to say 2 hours of nothing to do & about 10 pieces of it later I look like I'm trying to mummify myself in electric blue! It has it's skeptics & no real scientific proof it works so I'm looking for individual stories, atleast they might kickstart the placebo effect if convincing enough :pac: Anyone?

I've seen many rugby players wearing'em recently.

Their teams lost against players not using'em, so not sure whether or not that'll mean a negative impact?

I had some lately on a recovering injury and found that I was certainly less sore and felt much more support from it.
My understanding of it though is that is requires specialised knowledge to place it correctly. I had 2 different Physios apply it and one was much better than the other.

I did a couple of courses in it a couple of years ago and to be honest I'm still a skeptic. It's good for certain things like bruising and some people swear by it but Im not sure if its all in their head. I think it follows the pattern of

    1. pro athlete thinks it might work so tries it
    2. Other pros use it so as not to be at a disadvantage
    3. Normies use it to copy the pro's

Good marketing strategy by the inventors to be fair

It only works if it's really really bright. Sucks in the vitamin D, increases site specific protein synthesis and enhances recovery alongside neuroregeneration.

Obviously it can be enhanced by wearing a power balance band!

The stuff I was given is shiiiite! Elvery's finest:rolleyes: Most of it came off just after my workout! In saying that though my hip/groin felt much better support & mobility wise throughout so I might try it again with a different brand! KT tape or rock tape maybe

Did you remember to anchor it then pull tight before anchoring again?

I've given it to some people before as its easier for them to tape themselves with it rather then trying to do the whole zinc oxide taping. They only have to use one piece of tape instead of dozens of pieces. It can be really nice for patellae pain.

Yep I followed the KT tape instructional video's on youtube & the guy that gave it to me over the weekend explained that! I did it all again lastnight, it will be interesting to see if it stays on this time! Do you use it in practice alot? Have you used the elvery's stuff? If so how does it compare to the bigger name brands??

Iv never tried elverys to be honest couldn't comment. I wouldn't use it for thumbs or something that can easily and effectively be done with zinc oxide but it can useful and time saving with certain things.

Strapping will be my next course after dry needling! Anyway, I must've done it wrong yesterday as I trained today & then had 3 hours in the pool teaching swimming lessons & it's all stayed on!

Just beginning to try this now, I've done quite a bit of research on it and there's no specific research or studies to show it works. I've had quite a few people who has said it worked so I ended up with getting some on my knee to rid the last bit of swelling post surgery and it seems to be working. Fan shaped from knee to lymphatic drainage site.

A couple of hours in and I felt an all mighty pain in my knee, but it dispersed a few hours later. I have noticed a decrease in the swelling in my knee alright but I'm still extremely skeptical on the ideas that Kenzo Kaze and his followers state as to how it works with his dermis and epidermis theory etc.. But hey it looks cool!

Yeah it's the exact same reason that running shoes are so bright. The colour attracts the sun, which pulls in the vitamin D, which leads to sit specific protein synthesis, which increases repair and recovery, and leads to a lower incidence of plantar fasciitis.

    It's another andolute gimmick.

    No research, no proof.

Same tape for different sizes of ripple/athletes.

Plus, I think it could actually provide target zones for opposition teams to target on an individual in a GAA or rugby match., a la "He's wearing that tape shïtę on his knee, must be carrying a knock there, lets target it".

I'm only interested in alleviating necrotising fasciitis.

So was lance Armstrong doping because of the yellow jerseys he wore? I'm buying a yellow gi and taking the mundials by storm!

Jesus Christ are you even reading this thread??! He's as drug free as my posts are serious.

...and I still think he's never had an A and B sample test positive.

I tend not to read a lot of the fluffy "look at me winning at the internetz" stuff so took it out of context.
