Best oil for Corolla?

    Doing an oil change on my 2005 toyota corolla 1.4 vvti, whats the best oil for it, and if anyone knows a good place around cork to get it? Thanks
    Also does anyone know what of a 1997 nissan micra 1L, might aswell do the two cars at once :p ?

    cant locate it at the moment for the corolla and dont have one for the micra. The main reason I want to know is do you put heavier oil in after a certain amount of mileage, or when the car was serviced by other people if they used heavier oil do I need to follow suit? I think the recommended oil for the corolla is 5w30?

    As has been said above, it's 5w30.

    I have a 1.4 vvti 00 Corolla, I personally use Castrol Magnatec A1 which has it's doubters around here but works for me. Some vvti engines can be thirsty for oil, so keep an eye on it regularly.
