    do you do it?

    I do.

One: I appreciate a good post, regardless of age.

Two: its a pain in the ass seeing new thanks and not knowing what post it came from.

    Sort of subliminal trolling really.

Three: Take away the H and you have Tree. A much luved and abused resource.

Just put a note in my calendar to thank your post on 23/9/2016.

I'm putting a clause in my will so that each member of Boards will have their most recent post thanked. You can't take it with you after all.

Oddly, there's no thanks for that post.

When I see I've one newly-thanked post and it's not a recent one, I'll trawl for hours through my posts to find it, usually to discover that I've no memory of writing it.

Do you monitor your thanks? That's a bit sad...

I do it. Sometimes if I'm bored I'll randomly look up old threads.
If I come across something that makes me laugh, smile or just that I agree with I'll thank it.

I'm playing a game with myself where I'm trying to get my post count to match my thanks count.

Currently 1447 behind so a lot of mundane stupid cringeworthy posts to look forward to from me. :pac:

No, you're losing, you have to get the posts to catch up with the thanks. I've just thanked your post too to make it harder for ya. :pac:

Almost 3 times as many thanks as posts  Posting in YLYL is responsible for about 75% of those thanks though :P

You want your posts to catch up with your thanks!? My friend, you've got it all wrong!!

Only the one on your profile page when the thank count goes up. I check mine every five minutes, and if I've got extra thanks I'll check who thanked what post.
The better/better-looking the poster, the happier I am.

I just thanked one of your old posts there. Bet you can't figure out which one :D, I might unthank it in a while, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but some day

It's neither one of my most thanked, nor one of my most recent. I'm going to go with "lame attempt to make a joke posted within first week of signing up."
Whatever it was, if it wasn't thanked before now, it's not worth reading.

Yeah I do it all the time, I've thanked posts from ten years ago or more, if I agree with the sentiment it will get a thanks. :)
