How can I turn my spare canyon router into a wifi repeater?

Okay so I have just recently moved house, and before this move my O2 hotshot device could comfortably reach the full distance to all the rooms in the house, but since I've moved the hotshot will not go far enough for me to use it. I can only leave it in one corner of the house because that's where the 3G signal is best. The other day I found a spare canyon router lying around and I was just wondering what do I have to do to turn this router into a repeater for the wifi network that is being broadcasted off my 02 hotshot. The O2 hotshot has no Ethernet connection port it only has a USB port which is used if you want to connect it to a charger or a laptop. I am looking for the wifi signal to be able to reach to the far side of the house to connect to my iPhone. (P.S I also have a spare Vodafone router if that's any use)

Your actually looking to put the canyon router into bridge mode, you may not have that option on your router but on some old routers you can put custom firmware on it like dd-wrt or tomato which will give yo the option to bridge the hotspot connection.

    Google is your friend.
