Does anybody else have this problem? It concerns my Astra 19.2 dish and receiver receiving mainly German French and some other channels as well as a few English Language ones like BBC World, CNBC and CNN?
In recent months, several channels shown on the menu as being there now have no pictures at all on the screen whjen selected. This is despite the fact that when I press the Info button for these stations on the remote control, it indicates the the stations in question have Strong or Very Strong signal Intensity and Quality. These are not listed as being scrambled channels.
Among the channels with this problem are
Sky News, TVEi, Arte Telemadrid. .

Has anyone got any idea what might be wrong.

The affected channels must have changed frequency or gone off the air. You're still receiving a strong signal from the same transponder (frequency), but the channels in your list are no longer carried on that transponder. You'll have to find out where they are now & scan that transponder or else do a full rescan.

You can find a full list of 19 east frequencies here: http://en.kingofsat.net/pos-19.2E.php

    Thanks, Peter.
I have re-scanned all the tv channels being received and the list still shows the stations that have no signal. I have found that TVEi no longer broadcasts from Astra1 on 19.2E. However as far as I can establish the other ones like Telemadrid and Arte (both French and German) still do.
I appreciate that the technology behind the pictures I get (or no longer get) is quite complicated and I do not understand it very well.

If you want to try a manual tune, Telemadrid is on 11067 mHz, vertical pol., symbol rate 22000.

Arte doesn't seem to have changed frequency in a while: the French version is on 11934 mHz, V. pol., SR27500. The German is on 10744 H, SR 22000.

It also might be best to delete the channels that don't work before scanning.
