First can someone tell me where is good place to get supplies and name of the equipment

Also what ratio you need to wrap a fighters hands?

E.g. The way we have been doing it for years is
    2 stretch bandages
    1 roll microporous
    1 roll stretch tape (orange)
    Per fighter

I was shown this way to do it by one of the most experienced refs and fighters in the country and would imagine quite a few people aren't really aware that this is not now legal

if ur on a good show they'll provide hand wrapper
if ur on a show that doesn't then you'll get away with wrapping whatever way u want

i use a website firataidforsports something like that and was shown how to wrap by a fellow by the name of stitch , seemed to know what he was doing ;)

False, many shows don't have people to wrap hands and check to see guidines are adhered to.

I haven't had a lad on shows in years that hasn't been checked and made do it to the rules

true. I've not seen a show that checks if fighters have stopped tape 1cm before knuckles. yeah they might have some lad with a marker who signs them but he doesn't know what he's looking for. but that's only been my experience on every single show.

Last few shows I was at Joe Clifford checked.

Clan wars always checked as far back as I remember

What is name of equipment anyone

    Zinc oxide tape?
Think he said non conforming bandage??

Some other stuff used to pad knuckles. Not sure of name

Knuckles clearly covered and this is the UFC

    http://www.ufc.com/media/Hand-Wrap-2

UFC 110 below watch this to see knuckles are fully covered, Wrapping without covering the knuckles is pointless, The main issue is materials used and that the bandage is not going to interfere with the fight, But this is Stitch so maybe he does not know the rules on wrapping and with it been on the UFC maybe they don't check either!

Just another 1 in case the other 1 was a mistake

I never understood why you would not wrap the knuckles

    Surely it helps them
    From separating.

It is simply people not understanding hand wrapping and the rules, Totally pointless and how people don't cop that i'll never know, Plus we all see the UFC fighters after their fights with full wrapping on, almost the same as boxers without the palm covered.

So is Joe incorret saying to stop a centimetre before the knuckles

ISKA insist on this too by the way

To me it seems wrong and would nearly lead me not to wrap at all. Maybe I'm missing something

I suspect when that is said it is meant 1 cm from middle of finger, which some also call a knuckle-not necessary to go that far but in Boxing that can be common.

No I have heard it clearly stated a few times that no tape should go over the knuckles and should end 1 cm before the knuckle

as i said u are not allowed TAPE on the knuckles. it stops 1cm before, as shown jn the videos above.
of course you are allowed cover them with BANDAGES.

O'k i am talking about bandages but clearly in rules meetings refs always say the padding should not cover the knuckles, padding been the bandage that is-The videos i put up show that that is not the case

Padding is very important across the knuckles. Tape should not be used. Tape placed between the fingers is also fine, in order to secure the padding.

good point. although after been at over a 100 i think i got it.
however i would be surprised to hear David Jones or peter saying you cannot bandage the knuckles and they do most shows.
