Which is the most "economical" to burn in a Multifuel stove? I'm assuming smokeless coal.
Is it worth bothering with the rest? I also burn wood logs but mostly smokeless coal.

I find coal gives out the most heat and lasts the longest. I use logs as well but just cause I like the look of them on the fire. The smell off turf is lovely but don't think your suppose to use it anymore.

Oil and electricity is too deer now, coal is very dirty and getting banned around the cities, turf is low on heating energy and again not practical. Different ppl, different views, but I would say investing in wood pellets appliance would bring savings and using eco logs, or wood briquettes in stoves connected to all radiators is one of the cheapest and handiest, practical means of heating.
